Abstract: Objective: to describe the implementation process of the Monitoring Cycle (MC) in the epidemiological surveillance of the Federal District, Brazil. Keywords: Monitoring; Health planning; Epidemiological surveillance; Health management. Final considerations: the MC contributed to organizing management processes, strengthening governance, and improving decision-making in epidemiological surveillance in the DF, highlighting the potential of monitoring as a structural component of health management within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). Results: the implementation occurred in three phases: planning, verification, and adjustment, resulting in the consolidation of strategic axes, formalization of an action plan, institutionalization of a periodic monitoring routine, and greater alignment among management instruments. Greater articulation between management instruments and organizational levels was observed. Challenges included staff workload, shortage of data analysis specialists, and the need to strengthen an evaluation culture. Methods: this is an experience report conducted between 2021 and 2025 within the Health Department of the Federal District, involving managers, technical staff, and residents. Planning workshops and four-monthly monitoring meetings were carried out using participatory methodologies and management tools to develop action plans and monitor institutional indicators. Abstract: Objective: to describe cases of anaphylaxis associated with the live attenuated dengue vaccine (TAK-003) in the Federal District, Brazil. Methods: an observational case series study including individuals reported in the e-SUS Notifica system between July 2023 and June 2024 who presented anaphylaxis after receiving a dose of the live attenuated dengue vaccine (TAK-003) in the Federal District. Inclusion followed the Brighton collaboration criteria for the classification of anaphylaxis. Results: among the four identified cases of anaphylaxis, ages ranged from 6 to 21 years (median: 11.5 years), all occurring after the first vaccine dose. Two patients had no comorbidities; one had nephrotic syndrome and another had an anxiety disorder. The interval between vaccination and symptom onset ranged from 30 to 150 minutes. Cutaneous manifestations predominated, followed by respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms, and in one case anaphylactic shock occurred. Therapeutic management included the use of epinephrine in three cases. Two patients were hospitalized, and all recovered without sequelae. Final considerations: anaphylaxis requires immediate recognition and treatment. These findings reinforce the importance of post-vaccination observation and of training healthcare teams for the rapid and effective management of anaphylaxis, ensuring safety in the immunization process.

Abstract: Objective: to describe the incidence and case fatality rates of meningococcal and pneumococcal meningitis and to characterize the distribution of circulating serogroups and serotypes in the Federal District between 2010 and 2024. Methods: a descriptive ecological study based on meningitis data obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (Sinan), the Central Public Health Laboratory (LACEN), and the Adolfo Lutz Institute. Results: there was a decrease in the incidence rate of meningococcal disease from 0.74 cases per
100,000 inhabitants in 2019 to 0.16 in 2024, while the incidence rate of pneumococcal meningitis increased from 0.34 to 0.91. Serogroup C was the most prevalent in meningococcal disease. Na increase was observed in the prevalence of pneumococcal serotypes not included in the 10-valent pneumococcal vaccine, notably serotype 19A. Final considerations: there was a reversal in the frequency of bacterial etiological agents, with pneumococcal meningitis becoming predominant. The findings indicate the need to reassess the vaccina.
