Method: observational and descriptive study, of the case report type, about a patient who presented side effects after starting clomiphene citrate for ovarian stimulation. Result: clomiphene citrate is often used as a treatment in ovulatory and anovulatory women. Like any drug, it can have side effects and visual changes are the least common among them. Conclusion: visual disturbances experienced by a small percentage while using the medication can represent a serious complication for the patient. Methodology: a systematic literature review was carried out in the PubMed databases, of articles presented in full in English, between the years 2000 to 2022. Results: after analyzing the PubMed database, 22 articles were identified. However, only ten articles were included in the results of this study. An obstructive interval of 10 years or more has been found for some studies to portend a poor outcome. Conclusion: however, most of the publications analyzed in this study suggested that the prolonged time interval between vasectomy and surgical sperm retrieval through percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration has no effect on the outcome in terms of sperm quality, nor on fertilization, implantation or pregnancy rates.
