<description>Título: Atenção à puérpera com neurocisticercose e seu recém-nascido: relato de experiência
Autor(es): Pereira, Tatiane Fonseca; Almeida, MarianaViana
Abstract: Objective: to report the experience of a resident in obstetric nursing assisting a puerperal woman with neurocysticercosis and her newborn. Method: Activity developed in a public hospital in Brasilia in May 2020. The Nursing Care Systematization proceeded, based on adiscussion about the findings and their association with scientific evidence related to neurocysticercosis. Results: the pathology itself did not pose a threat to the fetus in the case addressed. Drug therapy maintained by the mother during pregnancy represented risks to the fetus of malformations and bleeding, and secondary risks in lactation. Conclusion: providing assistance to unusual cases like the one above represents a challenge which fosters the development of clinical reasoning and the exercise of reflective practice.

<description>Título: Icterícia neonatal e os cuidados de enfermagem: relato de caso
Autor(es): Carvalho, Fernanda Thais Silva; Almeida, Mariana Viana
Abstract: In neonatal jaundice, there is a general indirect hyperbilirubinemia that results from the unconjugated bilirubin pigment that leads to the yellowish coloration of the skin and mucous membranes. Most newborns develop this clinical condition in the first week of life due to the newborn's adaptive process to bilirubin metabolism. Although the course is benign in its great majority, an indirect bilirubin can impregnate the central nervous system and cause a bilirubin encephalopathy that in its chronic phase can cause cerebral and mental paralysis. Thus, because it is prevalent and considersthe risk of severity, the present case will describe neonatal jaundice and its repercussions on the mother-baby binomial and nursing care.

Abstract: Due to the increase in the number of syphilis cases in pregnant women and along with the growth of Congenital Syphilis (SC), there was a need to create a new protocol by the Ministry of Health to prevent vertical transmission of syphilis. As a result, the State Department of Health of the DF (SES-DF) issued Technical Note Nº. 9/20 published in July 2020 for the management of SC cases in the DF, based on the updated protocol. This study aims to discuss the new recommendations for professionals in Primary Health Care (PHC) and maternity hospitals in DF, relating it to the case. This is a case report of a newborn exposed to syphilis in a public hospital in the DF in the sector of Joint Accommodation (ALCON) held in August 2020 during the mandatory practical activity of the uniprofessional residence in Obstetric Nursing. However, it was noted the importance of following the recommendations to minimize unnecessary damage and interventions for the family and newborn.
